I always liked the dabbing effect, but for some reason have always been 'afraid' to use it myself...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06244732203992208868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8996738.post-1139370186947028022006-02-07T22:43:00.000-05:002006-02-07T22:43:00.000-05:00Hey Nick! No yellow. Some people say that it won't harden or stick if you don't mix them but, you know what? They're wrong. I wanted something very hard and not sticky for this rune, and that's what I did.

Hey, I'm glad you like the Scorpion! I started with a white primer coat. Then a very watered-down wash of Snakebite Leather with a big brush. I just slopped it on. The watered-down paint really takes on a life of its own. I can totally understand why you wouldn't paint over it, but I'm looking for a bone effect and I need it to be much lighter. The Snakebite remains in the cracks between the panels though, and I use it on the underside of the tank as well... so there's still lots of that color, just not in the primary areas. I'll post pics soon of what it looks like with the Bleached Bone on top, as I'm almost done doing that.

BTW, isn't Ben's titan *amazing*?Corey Tamashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06420153539540330038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8996738.post-1139369820355493192006-02-07T22:37:00.000-05:002006-02-07T22:37:00.000-05:00Hey Corey!Nice job on the wraithlord, the rune rea...Hey Corey!

Nice job on the wraithlord, the rune really makes it stand out! I might do something similar with a dreadnought before you decide to patent your idea ;)

Also, the scorpion - WOW! I don't know why you want to paint over that beautifule 'sandstorm' effect!?! It's one of the coolest tank camos I've ever seen! Unless it looks really different in real life than in the picture. How did you do it exactly? What was your basecoat? This looks truly stunning...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06244732203992208868noreply@blogger.com
