One Small Step

Set out to make a plasticard template. After a lot of little tiny fussy measurements I got it just the way I wanted it. Then, I put template to foam, got out some red paint and... well...

This, my friends, is step one of a Dire Avengers Aspect shrine.

The sketching:

The cutting:

The painting (and adding of dragons so you get the "ambience"):

Hey there!
Looking good on the table, this will be an impressive piece whenit's finished. I wonder why you're putting Dragons on your Dire Avenger shrine - wouldn't they be a better fit with the Fire Dragons shrine? Just a thought...

But still, wow!
and by the way, you inspired me to start my own blog. Not much exciting going on, at least not yet, but if you're really bored and have seen every other page on the net, check it out!

Oh, and a Happy New Year to you!

Hey Nick!

The main reason for the Dragons is that they are going to be the guardians of the flame of Asur (or the representation thereof). I wanted to keep it in the Chinese theme as much as possible, whereas (at present) I'm thinking about making the Fire Dragons more of a Gothic, European Cathedral style shrine. Thanks for the kind words, btw, and I'll definitely check out your blog!

Looks good... a little too good. Maybe some weathering to show its been uncared for for a long while?

So Pi = Red?

Heh just kidding, I'm really looking forward to seeing the completed table, it's turning out even better than I was expecting. Say...wanna make me some tables for my store? I'll need like 20 of em!
